I wasn't in the mood for this but it wasn't bad once I started, knowing this is it for today & the end of the week....
***Clean out all your baking cabinets/goods***
This is a great one after the big holiday baking season, and be prepared...get a garbage bag; there is more stuff then you think! Try to get rid of all the expired goods and get rid of extra cake & muffin mixes to a 'donate to local pantry' bag you start (they don't even take expired goods--so TOSS yours!). Buy a good cake mix when you need it (or make it homemade!). No more stocking up! And get rid of those 5-year old sprinkles.
These cabinets were mostly perishable things for me, but also old candles, cupcake liners, etc. that really needed to go! So whatever is lurking in your baking goods area...get to it and before you know it, you'll feel so much better too! I took mine all out, went through it all/could toss or donate a lot, and then put things away. Remember...seeing extra space is a good thing :) You could also take this time to wipe down the cabinets when it's all out if you want.
You made it a week! GREAT JOB! Thanks for tasking with me!!
Use the weekend to catch-up on anything if you want and otherwise, just kick back and relax!
Enjoy being pleasantly surprised every time you go to get a spice, utensil, tupperware or pot, socks or jammies, or some sugar.
