January 10-Serving Dishes/Vases

Good morning everyone,

We are going to get to what I call "extras" that we barely, if ever, use, and frankly, if they were 90% gone, we'd never miss.

Envision you just find out you are moving to a beautiful & exciting new place (in a city, on an ocean, in the mountains, along the countryside), all moving expenses paid; but it's a much smaller place then you are in now.  It doesn't matter because the surrounding beauty & benefits far outweigh the fact you have to downsize.  Now, you could box everything up and move the essentials & favorites to you new place, and pay $200/month for the rest of your stuff to sit in a storage unit somewhere.  However, you have time to pack & plenty of notice, you don't want to be one of those people who pay to place extra "stuff" in a big locked box that you'll never bother with again, so you resolve it's time to part with all those "extras" you really don't need or want (nor want to pass on to future generations).

Today you have some time to devote to getting rid of some of those "extras," so you gather up double-lined paper grocery bags, a box or plastic bin, some newspaper or plastic grocery bags, maybe even a stack of towels you are going to get rid of anyway.  You are now ready to begin and this is all you are going to focus on today so it really won't be that bad.

You first schedule a Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) pick-up TODAY (http://www.scheduleapickup.com/Schedule) for a pick-up THIS week--you can do that every week with VVA, last-minute, online, and even just 1 bag a week and they'll zip through your neighborhood and grab those donations on a regular basis!

And you can take pictures of anything you want to "remember."  I did with some of my mom's things.  I kept a few I most love and others I realized I was keeping out of obligation but I still wanted to take a picture to remember her blue flower glasses.

Today is the day, Tuesday, January 10, 2012, you take a look at all those "extras" and:
